Government, it looks sort of like this doesn't it?

And that is sort of why you hate it, right?  Fuck that shit.

Oh, wait, maybe you are a political soul, maybe you like this country.  If that's the case then maybe, just maybe you believe in America.

If you are a Republican, a Libertarian, & one of your conservatives is in the oval office than maybe government to you looks like this:

And you have yourself a nation & a government that you can be proud of.  Right?  At least that is until those evil Liberals get in office, when they get in office, then your nation starts to look a lot like this:

I mean, they are ALL communists right?  I mean, those Gosh darn liberal commie fascist pig-fuckers are into some really weird shit.  They want horrible things for this country, things that will destroy everything that it stands for.

And that is not what America is all about is it?  Hell no, you've read ALL the books that our founding fathers wrote and no where did you even see a reference to anything like that.

It wasn't in the copy of the Constitution that you carry in your pocket.  It wasn't in Atlas Shrugged, it wasn't in the Bill of Rights, it wasn't in The Fountain Head, The Virtue of Selfishness, or the Declaration of Independence.  You've read all of our nations key documents, you've been to all our national monuments & not one of them have any Ayn Rand quotes that advocate crazy liberal shit like that.

No where is it engraved on a bronze plaque inside one of the symbols of your great nation.

That is all commie bull shit & you are an American, not like those people.  OK, maybe like those people.  Maybe they were your relatives.  But back then things were different.  Back then they were, you know, white.  Back then there were all white protestants...unless, you know, they were Catholic or Jews.

So maybe the government only looks like someone giving you the finger when your people aren't leading it.  When your people are leading it, the government looks a lot like this:

It's also not too far from the truth.  

If you ask a historian, they will tell you that government is:

Who gets what, when, & how much.

And they will tell you that when a government is working properly, everyone has enough.  You have enough, I have enough, they have enough.

OK, EVERYONE would be a perfect government, but the function still remains the same, to make sure that people have what they need to survive, thrive, multiply, & contribute.

I know, it sounds pretty liberal doesn't it?  If you stop & think about that, it's almost communist isn't it?

Why that almost makes government sound a lot like this:

And you just can't get any more communist than Robin Hood.  I mean, he redistributed wealth & he redistributed it downwards.  

But that's why you are against government isn't it?  That's why you hate it.  That's why you know in your heart of hearts that government is evil, any government is evil.  Words like By the People, For the People, are evil works of Satan himself, that's why you are a Libertarian.

Because you know that the government that works best is the government that governs least.

You know that in order to be free, to have actual liberty there needs to be a very few people that live like this:

And government, by its definition, the very reason it was created was to assure that as few people are living on the streets & starving to death as possible, at least within its borders.

So it does things like pass laws, & govern, & creates restrictions, & safety nets, & infrastructure, & everything needed to assure that the people living within its borders have enough to eat & contribute & grow & multiply, & make America strong.

You know that the very reason government was first created, was because a man named Lagash was sick & tired of watching his people starve while a few priests & despots exploited them.  You know the reason Hammurabi wrote a code of laws was to ensure equality.

All men are created equal.  What type of commie quote is that?  It's surely not American.

That is why you are against government, it's too much like Robin Hood, it gets in the way of the rich running wild over the poor & doing whatever they please.

Or, maybe you support it.  Maybe you think that the idea of having responsibility to people is a pretty damn good idea.

Well, lets be honest.

Let's get down to business.

Let's get down to the truth.

Let's get to the very heart of the issue.

The honest truth is, & this might blow your hair back, the honest truth is that no matter where you stand, even if you say you are anti-government, you are still supporting the very heart of what government is.  Your argument is still over:

Who gets what, when, & how much.

Either way you are pro-government, even if you are anti-government.  You are just fighting over the direction.
